When I was 17 years old my favorite book was The Sound and the Fury. I did not fully understand it then but I think I grasped it … I reread it 13 years later and when I finished it, I went to the beginning and read it again.
Abandoned by everything but light…so very spectacular, Barbara! Very pleased you are back as I was just wondering about you yesterday, after going through several of your past posts. Hope ALL is well with you and yours, and look forward to more of your brilliant images!
Welcome back. Some really nice contrasts in these images. Details in just the right places. So good to see some new stuff from you. Enjoy your autumn.
Looking forward to your next post.
The Sound and the Fury was a special book for me as well. The opening section, told from Benjy’s point of view, was mindblowing, the most unique narrative style, by far, of anything I’d read up to that point, which was during my junior year in college.

So love the way you play with light.

Great images, too, Barbara.
Lots of delicious chiaroscuro in these!
