Otherworldy goodness. Makes me sing, “Fly me to the moon”
Right?
1st blog post I’ve looked at today, B. You’re going to be a hard act to follow!
My, what lovely spheres you have…
Ha ha … For some reason this makes me think of Red Riding Hood…
But I am taking meds for my cold and I am all silly…
Thanks so much Barbara. I’m glad you like it. I’m not really sure what those balls were used for. I got them from a plumber and haven’t been able to get back to him to see if he has any more. The old guys at the best local hardware store don’t know what they are!
Mike
They came from Mars…this is all what we need to know…the case of out worldly balls…:)
Like it very much!
I want to report here, Mike, that you engineered most fantastical device…it keeps spinning and spinning in the gentle California air.
It is quite graceful. I truly enjoy it!
The little hummingbirds come and check it out too.
Thanks Barbara. I was pleased how the sphere shape works in the wind. I’ve made a couple mobiles with flat materials, and they just blow around like crazy!
Mike
Reblogged this on Conceptual Art.
Thank you!
Cool! A rare example of partial color escaping the merely cliché
That is nice, thank you…
But you know sometimes I go for the cliche exactly.
Really nice as always Barbara. Your images all have a wonderful quality to them and a style all your own. Love the clever desaturation going on here too
Thank you for your thoughtful observation…
phenominal!
Thank you!!!
Looks like some mobile. Great sequence. What’s the first image of?
Ikea plastic mobile plastered on a wall…
It makes such a great abstract – I love it that it has such everyday beginnings.
I love your mysterious pictures… They make me kind of uneasy – in a good way
Mike,
You have an artist’s eye! When I go to the plumbing store, I return with a plunger.
Maurice you becoming quite a collector of material goods…
My, my, what are you intending to do?
I dreamt of an angel playing her mandolin another night…
When my plumber friend gave me this box of metal floats, I had no idea what I was going to use them for! I had thought he would have some cool old pieces of pipe. But, when I do go to a hardware store, I do look for interesting parts I can use in some way.
thanks Maurice
First reaction: OH, COOL!!
These are cool!
I really like these. Do you sell them?
Yes, I sell them on my Etsy shop at:

I also have an indoor mobile there that has 5 clocks on it. Even is the mobile itself isn’t moving, all the second hands are!
Mike
Thank you, Mike. I’m going to check you out over there.
What an interesting art… for some reason it looks to me a bit like old scratchy film. I love it!
yes!
YES!:)
this one has a Joan Miró feel for me…and i love red.
This is really quite different for you I think. It’s fast becoming a favourite of mine too. Can’t quite say why .. find it quite hypnotic in a way. A curious simplicity to it that demands your attention. Gordon
