NYC is not my town…I have lived here for a year…ain’t New Yorker yet…I don’t think I will ever be although I sometimes enjoy NYC combat walking “get out of my way…I am crazier and busier than you” …LOL
it can be brutal here but I received a good training from the mountain folks in California.
Now that is a scene to behold.
REally like these images. I’m having a hard time squeezing them into my 50 mtr mindset though. Haha. I guess everywhere you turn there’s something happening which is somewhat of a disquieting notion. I’ve always been fascinated by New York. Have visited a couple of times but don’t think I could ever live there.
At first glance, the guys and machine in the last photo looked like a kid’s toys.

That was what my kid said…but the sweat on those people’s backs was real…
Photo # 3 reminds me why I always took the train. I love that town of yours! Seeing it through your eyes is a joy!

Actually, I think that’s part of the reason that you find interesting things to photograph that seasoned NYers wouldn’t give a second glance to.
Mike
Ahh Barbara, you photograph NYC like you’ve lived here all your life. You own it girl.
Great contrast of images.

These are so fine in B/W, barbara…color would have killed the focus. Have fun camping! Oh, and have a happy Mother’s Day!
